EVENTS

This Conference focuses on the reception of Longinus’s treatise Peri Hypsous (1st century AD.). Taking into consideration that it is not often  we possess direct evidence concerning the Longinian sublime as a productive theory in the early modern times, our primary interest lies in bringing forth possible interpretations and discussing the issue of reception of works of art, literature and the intellectual thinking of the period.
