CEREMONY FOR THE PRESENTATION OF AN HONORARY VOLUME TO ACADEMIC EMERITUS PROFESSOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ATHENS KONSTANTINOS BOURAZELIS [28 NOVEMBER]

The Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor Gerasimos Siasos, has the honour to invite you to the ceremony for the presentation of an honorary volume to the academic, former Vice-Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Emeritus Professor of the Faculty of Philosophy Konstantinos Bourazelis.

The ceremony will be held on Friday, 28 November 2025, at 18:00 in the Great Hall of the University of Athens (central building, 30 Panepistimiou Street).

Opening address by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, International Relations and Extraversion of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor Sofia Papaïoannou.
Greeting by the Director of the Institute of Historical Research of the National Research Foundation, Professor Nikolaos Papazarkadas.
Speeches by:

  • the Chair of the Department of History and Archaeology, Professor Platon Petridis, with title: “Kostas Bourazelis and the Department of History and Archaeology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens”

  • the Director of the History Sector of the Department of History and Archaeology, Professor Selene Psoma, with title: “Eirenarches: the honorary volume”

  • the Emeritus Professor of the University of Magdeburg, Martin Dreher, with title: “50 years of friendship with Kostas Bourazelis”

  • the Research Director of the Institute of Historical Research of the National Research Foundation, Christina Kokkinias, with title: “The teacher Kostas Bourazelis”
